The Measure of Madness, by New York City forensic psychologist
and teacher, Cheryl Paradis, Psy.D., is a book that provides
an easily digested multicourse offering involving broad
exposure to the insanity defense and competency to stand trial
evaluations. A third portion of the book looks at malingering
evaluations and forensic work with juveniles, but the first two
categories make up the bulk of the book’s content.
The book works on two levels: Primarily, it seems aimed at
lay readers, who are exposed to niches of forensic practice
which, while part of the common parlance, are often misunderstood
by those readers. Secondarily, this book gives other
forensic practitioners . . .
